HAPPY 50th ANNIVERSARY TEMPLE BETH DAVID!
Temple Beth David of Commack is celebrating! As a presence in Commack for over 50 years, we are proud to be honoring this momentous occasion with a GALA to commemorate our history, our members, and our ties to the community for over a half-century.
Please mark your calendars for Saturday May 12th, 2012, from 7:00 to 12:00 pm, and join us for a wonderful evening. From our dedicated beginning as a small house on Scholar Lane 50 years ago, to our beautiful home-away-from-home on Hauppauge Road, Temple Beth David has been the only Reform Jewish house of worship in Commack for 50 years, and we have a lot to celebrate!
Break out your dancing shoes as we move and groove with LEXUS, an 8 piece band, featuring, Tommy Sullivan from the Brooklyn Bridge and Prentice McNeal from the Drifters. Enjoy the cocktail hour, open bar, sit-down dinner by Beth David Caterers, and an amazing silent auction. It is going to be an incredible night!
In honor of our 50th year, we are creating a special souvenir 5772/2012 tribute journal. We want each and every temple member to help us make this journal a living history. Share the memorable moments the Temple Beth David community has played in your family's life. The more tributes, the richer and more accurate this historical journal will be. Tributes can be made to parents and children; to temple founders, clergy, and religious school classmates, just for starters. You can include pictures, celebrate a life cycle event, tell us about your favorite memory at TBD, or just tell us about your hopes and dreams for TBD’s future. You are only limited by your imagination!
We encourage you to solicit journal ads from your business and personal connections; we greatly appreciate your time and effort in helping to make this 50th celebration a once-in-a-lifetime event for Temple Beth David.
